Colman Domingo's first leading role on television
Chronology
Media expert Muncie Daniels must fight for her innocence and her life after uncovering a murder in the heart of the Poconos.
As a fan of binge-worthy murder mystery miniseries, I was hooked on the concept
The series had an interesting premise and a lot of initial promise, but it got lost along the way.
However, it seemed like it was originally written to be a multi-season show, but was condensed into an eight-episode miniseries
The result was an overstuffed story with many subplots and underdeveloped characters that were only vaguely connected to the main plot.
Each subplot had potential, but was cut short, leaving the story empty and confusing
It felt like all the right ingredients for a 5 star meal were there, but the chef ran out of time and just mixed it all together and served it.
The ending was particularly disappointing, not entirely bad, just disappointingly bland
It failed to evoke any strong emotions, good or bad, because there was little to connect with.
