A remake of “The Top Agent” (2020)

Chronology

Charles, a retired man, gets a new lease on life when he answers a private investigator’s ad and becomes an informant for an undercover investigation at a nursing home. Michael Schur was inspired to create “The Man Inside” after watching the Chilean documentary “The Mole Agent.” He says, “The documentary “The Mole Agent” is powerful because it makes people feel something incredibly relatable, regardless of age, ethnicity, or gender, and I would describe that feeling very gently as ‘I need to call my mom.’ On our show, we try to do something similar with the tone: basically, does our show contribute to that feeling of wanting to call our moms?

Ted Danson is great as always

I’m on episode 5 as I write this. This show is funny, thought-provoking, and honestly, a pleasure.

Each of us, regardless of age, brings something new to the table

The other actors are engaging and charming in this Who Did It series. I relate equally to the crime aspect as I do to the human aspect of loneliness.

I feel the warmth of the message without any sentimentality

The comedy is beautifully woven, so the laughs are real. I hope this show continues that journey that I love so much.

Bravo to the writers, actors, and directors who created a gem of a series
