Chronology

After escaping from an island prison where he spent 14 years after being wrongly accused of treason, Edmond Dantès returns as the Count of Monte Cristo to seek revenge on the men who betrayed him. When Albert watches Hydee sing and play the guitar, it is very obvious that he is not even touching the strings half the time.

It is very good, and kept the pace very well for a long film. The actors did their jobs properly, with enough emotion.

I wanted to give it 8*, but I couldn't

It is very good, but not quite outstanding. The camerawork is very good, sometimes gorgeous, and adds to the emotion of the story.

It's worth watching on a big screen

I disagree with the reviewers who compare the films to the original classic novels. They are two different media, and both have their pros and cons.

I didn't notice anyone getting bored during the movie despite its length - for example, they were looking at their phones or switching a lot
