He is loved. He is Dexter Morgan, America's favorite serial killer who spends his days solving crimes and his nights committing them. In season 8, Angel Batista was not always played by David Zayas. His son, David Zayas Jr., replaces his father in some shots because the two look so much alike.

The strength of the character development was obvious, enhanced by the perfect cast and the engaging, crime-filled storyline.

Seasons 1 and 2 stood out exceptionally, earning a commendable 9/10 rating

But then the quality of the series began to decline. The introduction of new characters and excessive drama weighed down the once classic series. Despite my love for the characters, I felt a gradual decline in its charm, including Debra's. The writing and direction were solid, but Dexter himself stood as the ultimate focal point, as his portrayal of black humor remained an outstanding aspect.

However, I must emphasize that the first two seasons are a must-see and should not be missed

His episodic narration was a unique perspective from which we learned how he viewed things, people, and crimes; it was completely gripping.
