Chronology
The Jackal is an elusive assassin who makes his living carrying out hits for the highest fee. He soon meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer who tracks him down in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe..
The show moves the setting to the current era
The " Day of the Jackal" novel was set in 1963 and involved an assassination attempt on the then-President of France Charles de Gaulle. Referenced in Graham Norton i gosti: Denzel Washington/Paul Mescal/Saoirse Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossoms (2024).
The cast delivers some really great performances
The storytelling is solid, with twists that keep you engaged, and the cinematography captures the eerie atmosphere perfectly. That said, I have to point out that Ms.
Lynch's acting felt quite underwhelming
Her performance came across as very one-dimensional, which unfortunately stood out in a cast full of strong, nuanced portrayals. It's not about race-I can think of several brilliant Black actresses who could've brought more depth and complexity to the role.
It's definitely not perfect, but it deserves attention
